v1.7 is out!

Please update!
Now with terrain!

Note: Since the wifi version of the iPad normally does NOT supply elevation, please use X-Plane to ‘drive‘ SkyChartsPro.

Or wait for the 3G version – it has the same GPS functionality as the iPhone 3G(S) has.

iPad users

Just to clarify: The regular version of SkyCharts will NOT take advantage of the full screen resolution on the iPad.

To run in native resolution and see the maps in full glory, you need SkyChartsPro.

April 8 charts

Processing IFR charts and VFR charts when they become available.
NACO is missing a couple of charts, hopefully they will add those soon ?

Once the new charts are released, I’ll bump SkyCharts/SkyChartsPro to v1.7.

If you want to join the iPad beta, please check the post here and once you have a device please send the UDID.

iPad version submitted!

There will now be an iPad version (SkyChartsPro) and the normal iPhone version (SkyCharts).

SkyChartsPro will get all the new functionality first, and eventually that functionality may make it into the SkyCharts version as well.
(remember all these devices have different cpu’s and gpu’s so I will only enable something by default it it works on all devices)

‘New’ server

So if you got some problems with non cached maps the last half hour or so now you know why.
‘Old’ server was coming close to both disk & bandwidth limits so time to increase the quotas.

1.5.10 released

Finally got a crash-report (but I still can’t reproduce how it happens exactly!) but seems like after accepting a call the ‘direct’ route is never saved to disk so it crashes on start-up when reading a NIL field when its trying to restore the Direct.

v1.5.10 is hopefully the last of the 1.5 series, 1.6 will have new functionality, hopefully I can release it an a couple of weeks after beta testing ?

For the other 1.5 releases, check the roadmap.
